This year has started with a bang at Surge, from generating outstanding client results to growing our team! If this is just the start, we're extremely excited to see what else we can do in 2021.

You don’t need us to tell you that 2020 was an exceptionally strange and challenging year. Even so, we ended it on what was our most successful December so far. It’s been a very busy time for Surge, and 2021 is looking as promising as ever - even though we’ve found ourselves in yet another national lockdown! The bad news seems never-ending at the moment, so we thought we’d share some good news from our team to bring a little positivity to this cold and rainy February…

Our Best January So Far

We’re extremely proud to have had our best January so far in terms of turnover, new projects and a 100% client renewal rate for the quarter. As many of you will know, going from being in a busy, buzzing office to working from home has been quite an adjustment. We’re fortunate to be in the digital industry, where we can continue offering the highest quality of work remotely and keep our clients thriving through the lockdown. Let the good times continue!

Growing The Team

We welcomed Georgia, Dan and Ste to the team in the second half of 2020, and they’ve brought so much passion and talent along with them. In 2021, we’ve taken on two newer members of staff and are on the lookout for two more - one to join our marketing team as an SEO specialist and one to join the development team as a Web Developer.

The team is expanding rapidly, with Amy and Rob joining us this month and bringing plenty to the table. Amy is our newest SEO specialist and Rob is coming on board as a marketing apprentice. All in all, we’re going through some really exciting times and we can’t wait to be back in the office to give our newbies a proper welcome.

Client Success Story

During January, we made some incredible progress for our clients. Notably, we launched a campaign for one of our clients who has recently shifted their business offering. After the design and development team updated the website in December, we ran a social media campaign optimised for website enquiries. The budget for this campaign was £250, and it directly generated 35 enquiries, each worth an average of £18,000 if converted. To do the math, that’s a potential average return of £630,000!

New Clients

We love nothing more than taking on new clients, getting to know them and getting the wheels in motion to improve their business online. Lucky for us, we’ve taken on seven fantastic new clients in the last month for a range of services. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be launching new Google Ads campaigns, creating SEO strategies, designing websites and writing content aplenty!

In the midst of so much chaos, it’s good to know that all is not lost for businesses when they know how to utilise digital marketing to continue engaging with their audience.

We hope you’re all staying safe and well, and we can’t wait to get back to some kind of normal once the lockdown is lifted. Around this time last year, we started planning our new office opening party for May 2020. Fingers crossed it won’t be another year before we get to invite you all over. If we continue as we’re going, it’ll be the party of the century!
